Fine Disregard, Syrah Lost Row, 2017 SPAINCT012026 Burgundian thinkingHere's a story: 'Lost Row' is exactly one row of Syrah about 120 vines in the Stags Leap District, planted in 1994 from cuttings of old vine Shiraz brought over from Australia's Barossa Valley. Before Fine Disregard claimed it, the fruit just got fermented in with the surrounding rows. Mike Schieffelin and Kara Marden bottle it on its own now, in their minimalist, native yeast style. The result is about as bright and food friendly a Syrah as Napa
