My Pakistan: the Story Of a Bishop

Bishop Alexander John Malik is a well-known and highly-respected name in Pakistan s cultural circles. His book is a combination of a memoir along with a history of Pakistan with focus on the Christian community of this country. The Bishop returned to Pakistan while studying for a doctorate in Canada to "serve the Lord and his country." In my view, he has served both with distinction in writing this tale of the darkening of the horizon for minorities in this country. Perhaps with more enlightened intellectual interventions of this type, the clouds will begin to lift. I recommend this book wholeheartedly to all those who are interested in the future of their children in this country irrespective of their religion and other labels of distinction. Dr. Tariq Rahman
