However, much reader demand prompted him to continue Sherlock s adventures and so he wrote The Hound of the Baskervilles next and continued to write more. Following The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes Conan Doyle further published two novels and three collections of short stories featuring Holmes and Watson.
